Properties of Memory Foam Mattresses
I’m certain that as you’re shopping for a couple of quality mattress pads, you would come across this mattress which was coined as “Memory Foam”. So what is this “memory form mattress”? Willl it help improve your mind?
Of course not! Allow me tell you a little more regarding it.
Memory form is a type of foam that was invented by NASA’s Ames Research Center. The idea of this foam is to shield the spacecraft by adding a couple of cushion. Charles A. Yost, the contributing inventor of the foam also named it “temper foam”.
Slowly, this type of foam has gotten a few commercial attention. It was initially been used in hospitals where they will assist patients to improve their conditions. Soon, this type of foam has opened to us. The application has been used in bed and even bags.
Why is this foam so special? You see, this foam is more dense than other foams. That is why they can absorb sudden impact. Have you watch an advertisment where a person dropped an egg on a pad and it doesn’t break? That’s the memory foam.
Now let’s look at Memory Foam Mattress Pad
I had myself tried this mattresses in the stores. The salesman said that there are 2 groups of people when it comes to these mattresses: One will love it and the other will not like it at all.
For me, I like it. However, my spouse doesn’t like it. When I tried it, it feels very comfortable as the mattress will fit my body shape instantly. However, one thing about such mattress is that you will find it hard to turn yourself when lying down. This is one thing that my wife doesn’t like.
Now here’s something to note: Never use memory foams for infants. The reason is that babies will find it hard to turn themselves due to it’s custom-fit properties. Leaving your babies on such mattress will multiply the risks of death.
To conclude, I encourage you to try out the Memory Foam Mattresses. It’s a pretty interesting experience when you find yourself dipping into the mattress. Alternatively, you can look at electric mattress pads
